Religious Wedding Ceremony
Today
is a day of celebration. We are here, in the presence of God, surrounded by incredible beauty to celebrate
life, love, and the beauty of relationships.
But more importantly we are here to celebrate the relationship
of two people who have come here to embark on an incredible
journey
and set sail for a wonderful life together. It is such a blessing that the two of you have found each
other in this world. Your hearts met and through your relationship unfolded
vulnerable honesty, gentle caring, and that amazing thing we call love, which has bonded
you for life
The beauty of this marriage is that you will always continue to learn together and teach each other, to open each other to explore new ideas, to share life and bring out the very best in one another. By being together your world becomes larger and your options more abundant than what would have been alone.
As we stand beside the ocean tide, may your love always be as constant and unchanging as these never ending waves, flowing endlessly from the depths of the sea.
*****
O gracious and ever-living God. Look mercifully upon this couple who come to you seeking your blessing, and assist them with your grace that with true honesty and steadfast love they may honor and keep the promises and vows they make here today. God bless, this couple on their journey and hold them safely in yours arms today and forever more. Amen
( let us know if you would like to incorporate any bible or religious readings here )

The Exchange of Vows
Your vows are the promises that you are making to this person standing in front of you. It's letting eachother know that through thick and thin you will always have this person by your side.
Do you, ( groom ), promise ( bride ) before God and these witnesses, to be forever faithful and honest, to share with her your dreams and your fears, to cherish her for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health and to be forever close in your souls?
( groom ) :" I Do"

The exchange of rings
Bless these rings and let them serve to remind you of vows you make here today. They are a symbol of wholeness, peace and completeness. These rings are very special because they remind us that we are individuals yet we are not alone. Wear them to tell each other and the whole world that you are in love with the very special person wearing the other one.
( groom ), place this ring on ( bride )'s finger and while holding her hand repeat after me.
I, ( groom ), give you this ring ~ and I give you my heart. May you feel surrounded by my love ~ each time you look at this ring.
With this ring, I thee wed

Our island ceremony was perfect! My groom is Jewish and I am Christian.
It was refreshing to know that we could encorporate special traditions
and prayers into our ceremony.
Thank you, God Bless
& Mazel Tov!
